HopeMade

  HopeMade Objective.

The main objective of the HopeMade is to bring the employment opportunities by launching the new initiative, manufactures, projects/plans by producing/selling productions/ social enterprise services under the HopeMade Branding based on the capabilities of the blind and low vision including other people with disabilities to encourage them to stand on their own feeds and be independent by themselves. The meaning of the word HopeMade is that the organization  hope that from the moment that began to start thinking about this so everyone is hope for the best and wish for the bright future of our lives, all the trustees seek that with this a new planned it will be a new hope for us, we prays that god  will bring us a hope with this new ideas/projects, it’s hope that is the day to success and changing in our life with the hope in our hearts that if the organization  made/produce something it should be growing with the best of the people/society even though if the society in the states of North East of India is hard to believe that the organization blind and differently abled people are difficult to reach out their goals after many struggles and hardship to deal with everything in the daily lives. So, the HopeMade is born by the Blind Lead Trust (BLT) non-government organization and it is the main brand of it. Means, if there are any kind of productions or sales it will be under the brand of HopeMade under the leadership of the Blind Lead Trust. But any profit that the organization benefits from it. So, it will be the benefits of thousands citizens of people with disabilities by generate them the employment opportunities, helping hands, to uplift the people with disabilities related to the entrepreneurship in the villages by collaboration with their cooperative, society, and self help group. Through HopeMade it will open a lot of opportunities for the long term goal to strive for the welfare/activities of the people with disabilities communities. The HopeMade activities is to conduct the workshop program/participate in different places under the northeast region and across the country and looking for new opportunities/collaborations. To conduct the small workshop/awareness programs in the villages or blocks level to reach out to the cooperatives and self help groups of the people with disabilities with the objective to promote/collaboration with their potentials in order to bring them to the higher level or platforms. To conduct the training workshop related to the entrepreneurship management, skills, accessibility systems, and anything wider may come up during the practical it needs to cope up based on their social problems etc.

HopeMade’s primary goal is to empower individuals with visual impairments and other disabilities by fostering sustainable employment opportunities. We aim to achieve this by:

  • Establishing a Social Enterprise: Creating a social enterprise that produces and sells high-quality goods and services under the HopeMade brand.
  • Leveraging Skills and Talents: Utilizing the skills and talents of people with disabilities to promote independence, dignity, and economic self-sufficiency.
  • Reinvesting for Impact: Reinvesting profits into the Blind Lead Trust (BLT) to support ongoing efforts to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Key Activities:

  • Capacity Building: Conducting workshops and training programs to equip individuals with essential skills like entrepreneurship, management, and digital literacy.
  • Community Outreach: Engaging with rural communities and cooperatives to identify potential entrepreneurs and provide support and mentorship.
  • Product Development: Collaborating with designers and artisans to develop innovative and marketable products that showcase the talents of people with disabilities.
  • Assistive Technology: Designing and producing assistive devices tailored to the specific needs of blind and disabled individuals, promoting independence and inclusion.
  • Market Access: Establishing partnerships with retailers and online platforms to sell HopeMade products and services.
  • Advocacy: Promoting inclusive policies and practices to create a more accessible and equitable society.
